What inspired you to choose wealth management as a career?
After starting my professional career in Investment Banking, I decided to make the move to wealth management. The main reason is the client interaction and helping people fulfill their life goals every day. I wanted to have a career in which I can work with clients on a daily basis and help them make the tough decisions in life to better their situation.
Why did you choose to be part of the BDF team?
When I first walked through the door, I knew this was a team atmosphere looking to work together to achieve the same goal. I chose the BDF team because I knew it was the right team to be a part of from the start.
What unique skills make you uniquely qualified for this work?
The skills I developed in investment banking have transitioned well into Wealth Management. For BDF’s Business Owner clients, I am able to bring a value add when giving advice on the topic of selling their business and next steps using my experience with Mergers and Acquisitions.
What is the one thing you wish every person knew when making financial decisions?
That the decisions you make are not set in stone. Some clients think if they decided on one option it isn’t possible to change their plan. At BDF, we understand life throws you curve balls and we are always helping clients modify their plans to meet their goals.
Where can we find you when you’re not working?
You can usually find me on the soccer field or basketball court. If not playing sports, I am trying out new restaurants around the great city of Chicago.
What’s the most influential book you’ve read and why?
Go Giver. It is about changing your focus from getting to giving. When you put others’ interests first it will lead to unexpected returns.
