Why did you choose to be part of the BDF team?

I think it is very rare to find a wealth management firm, or any job for that matter, where your morals truly align with the firm’s core values.  I have found that at BDF and it’s invaluable to me.  We have a unique culture that supports a team based approach that has proven to be exceedingly successful.  At BDF, we have a deep bench and I find myself learning something new every single day.

What do you enjoy most about your role at BDF?

At BDF, we tailor each financial plan for our clients.  By doing so, we are able to find out what really matters.  For one client it might be knowing that their loved one has a trusted team to turn to if they are no longer there.  For another client it might be ensuring that they can meet all of their goals or finding ways to make retirement successful.  I love that I get to help our clients navigate through many different life changes and build meaningful relationships along the way.

What does “Helping people make sound decisions to enjoy a full life” mean to you?

Helping people enjoy their wealth. We help clients sleep at night and give them that peace of mind they are searching for by updating a retirement plan or running through different retirement scenarios, for example.

Why did you choose to get involved with the financial planning committee?

Income tax, estate planning legislation and risk management solutions are ever changing so the financial planning committee (FPC) helps educate our team and modify our planning when changes arise.  “Helping people make sound decisions to enjoy a full life” is the cornerstone of everything we do at BDF.    Being part of the FPC allows me to help BDF continue to deliver that promise by keeping our planning deliverables cutting edge.

Where can we find you when you’re not working?

Outside spending time with my family and friends.  Whether it is a bike ride, a hike or walking along the lake shore I love spending time outside and staying active.
