Why did you choose to be part of the BDF team?

Our team culture and core values: our firm is truly passionate in what we do. As a young planner, I knew I would have the opportunity to learn from some of the most intelligent and diligent advisors in the RIA business.

What do you enjoy most about your role at BDF?

It’s exciting going to work every day knowing that I will constantly be learning new things and understanding the process of why we do what we do.

What is the one thing you wish every person knew when making financial decisions?

The first step to successful investing is establishing your goals and mapping out your own plan. I think it’s critical for people to know that the decisions they make should be towards achieving those goals for the long-term.

What’s the most influential book you’ve read and why?

“Getting Naked” by Patrick Lencioni. It changed my perspective how to develop relationships and how to communicate with your clients and anyone in your life. It suggests taking an unconventional approach to establishing relationships and that embracing your own vulnerability creates a deep bond between yourself and others.

Who are your role models?

My mom, a teacher, raised us to be extremely hard workers. She emphasized the importance of helping others and choosing a career in something that we love to do. I’ve always admired and hope to emulate her ability to balance family and work.
